Hypercarbon

Uses

Hypercarbon is the new Lafer coating ideal for tapping operations on medium and low hardness steels, cast iron, titanium alloys, and aluminum alloys, as well as for chip removal machining on cast iron.

Hypercarbon combines the toughness and wear resistance of the AlTiN coating with the low friction coefficient of the W-C:H
coating, reducing material adhesion to the cutting edge.
